St Paul’s Cathedral Sheffield

This is one of Sheffield’s oldest buildings and is situated in the heart of this great city. Stones from a Norman Church can be seen in the east wall. Tudor monuments which include Mary Queen of Scots during her fourteen years of imprisonment in Sheffield are located in the chapel. Every window in this chapel has a story to tell.

Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield

A five minute walk from the hotel. The Lyceum Theatre is a 1068 seat theatre in the city of Sheffield, England. Built in 1897 the Lyceum is the only surviving theatre outside of London and the last example of an Edwardian auditorium in Sheffield.

Crucible Theatre

Just a five minute walk from the Hotel the theatre was built in 1971. As well as theatrical performances it hosts the most prestigious event in professional snooker the World Championships. This has been played here since 1977. It also hosts table tennis and squash world championships.

The Winter Garden

One of the largest temperate glasshouses to be built in the UK during the last 100 years. This is a stunning green world in the heart of the city. There are more than 2500 plants from around the world creating an excellent display. The building itself is 70 metres long and 22 metres high. Shopping ‘golden mile’ Ecclesall Road
