One of the largest temperate glasshouses to be built in the UK during the last hundred years is located on our doorstep in Sheffield. Winter Garden is the largest urban glasshouse anywhere in Europe. The building itself is 70 metres long, 22 metres high and home to more than 2500 plants from all around the world. Summer Events in Sheffield
Events are finally back, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever. Bassfest Summer Festival 2022 is coming to Sheffield on the 16th & 17th of July and will be their biggest line-up ever. Held in the famous Don Valley Bowl in the northwest of the city, this open-air event brings a huge range of DJ and live acts from the worlds of drum n bass, house, bassline, and beyond.
Tramlines Festival also returns to Sheffield from 22nd to 24th of July. It takes place at Hillsborough Park, just a few miles Northwest of Sheffield City Centre and a short drive from Leopold Hotel Sheffield. Expect an amazing line-up with bands and artists across four stages, plus comedy, a pop-up cinema and a dedicated family area. The food and drink area has a wide selection of cuisines and something for everyone. Enjoy Graves Park
Graves Park is located on Hemsworth Road, about 15-minutes drive from Leopold Hotel Sheffield. It’s one of the largest parks in the area with lots to see and do on a summer day. Children will love the on-site farm where they can visit, pet and learn about the animals. The park has a golf course, two bowling greens and several tennis courts. There is a large play area next to the cafe with a sandpit, toddler equipment, climbing frames, zip wire, swings and more.
